Robert A. Smith, 84, of Valley View, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at WellSpan GSH-Lebanon. He was the husband of Marybelle B. Rubendall Smith. On May 5th, they would have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

Born in Jonestown on Nov. 13, 1936, he was the son of the late William and Beulah Espenshade Smith. Robert had worked as a lineman for M.J. Electric and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 55 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Robert E. Z. Smith, of CA, daughter, Ann Louise Moyer, of Pottsville, sister, Franny Grant, of Lebanon, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Richard Smith, and sister, Romaine Long.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown.
