Robert Anthony Talalai, 88, of Palmyra, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, in the MS Hershey Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara Jean (Sarnowski) Talalai.

He was born on Thursday, May 18, 1933 in Throop, to the late Joseph and Valeria (Barkiewicz) Talalai. 

He graduated from West Scranton High School in 1952, proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and graduated from Keystone Junior College in 1958. His professional career began with commercial credit and transitioned to banking, specializing in loan loss reserve, as a senior vice president. He spent many years with Commonwealth National Bank, Lebanon Valley National Bank, and retired as a senior vice president with Fulton Bank. He enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family, camping, and fishing.  He dedicated his life to loving and working tirelessly to provide for his family. He will be dearly missed as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by three sons, John “Jack” R. Talalai, and wife, Jessica, of Camp Hill, James J. Talalai, and wife, Terri, of Mechanicsburg, Jeffrey A. Talalai, and wife, Janet, of Palmyra; eight grandchildren, Trevor Talalai, Brianne Talalai, and Kaylee Talalai, Gregory Talalai, and wife, Theresa, Jena Johns, Brooke Munifo, and husband, Joseph, Rachael Li, and husband, DiTong, and Ryan Talalai; six great-grandchildren, Leanna, Colson, Levi, Lincoln, Emmi, and Vivianna; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Doris Talalai; and a brother-in-law, Jim Jones.

He was predeceased by a brother, Edward, two sisters, Irene and Elizabeth Kowalewski, and husband, Floyd, a step-brother, Steve, three step-sisters, Josephine, Anna, and Valeria, and two sisters-in-law, Nancy Jones and Shirley Miller, and husband, Robert.

All services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial with full military honors will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
