Robert C. “Bob” Long, 69, of Annville, passed away on Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at his residence with his loving wife and son by his side, under the care of WellSpan Hospice. He was the loving husband of Suanne M. (Wolfe) Long, to whom he was married 39 years on Dec. 15.

Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Mervin C. “Dutch” and Pauline “Polly” (Daub) Long.

Bob graduated from Annville-Cleona High School and the Lebanon VoTech in 1973. He retired from Stone Ridge Town Center Communities as director of maintenance. He previously worked at the Lebanon Steel Foundry and Loose’s Lumber in Myerstown. Bob was a Boy Scout leader with Troop #458 in Cleona, collected toy trains, and enjoyed camping, gardening, woodworking, and electronics. He designed and built his home in Annville and was a ham radio operator with a handle N3JOY. Bob was a past member of the Union Hose and Cleona Fire Companies and enjoyed camping every year at Locust Lake with his family. He was a life member of the Lebanon County Fireman’s Association and loved the Phillies and visiting the Antique Auto show in Hershey.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert M. “Bobby” Long. Bob is also survived by a sister-in-law, Cynthia, wife of Donald Shiner; and four brothers-in-law, Ronald Wolfe, and wife, Brenda, Michael Wolfe, and wife, Susan, Dean Wolfe, and Jerry Wolfe, and wife, Terri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at 11 a.m., from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewings will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at the funeral home.

Bob’s family would like to thank WellSpan Hospice, especially Dawn, Lisa, Melissa, Nicole, Pat, Theresa, and Chaplain Don, for their dedication and care, which allowed Bob to be at home during his illness.
