Robert E. Umberger, 83, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at his home. He was the husband of the late Marilyn J. Umberger, who died on April 2, 2015.

Born in Lebanon on Oct. 2, 1941, he was the son of the late William M. and Helen M. (Shay) Umberger.

Robert was in the Navy from 1962 to 1965 and became a 3rd Class Petty Officer Pipefitter. During his working career, he worked as a pipefitter for Burl Industries. He was a member of the Lebanon Navy Club, joined Rescue #4 in 1969, was a member of VFW Post 23, and was a life member of Lebanon County Fire Association and Lebanon County Fire Relief. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and going to the beach.

He is survived by his daughters, Jodi A. Renn, of Shippensburg, Rebecca S. Kreiser, of Jonestown, and Heidi S. Sherman; grandsons, Kody S. Kreiser, Zachary H. Renn, and Jeffrey E. Englehart; great-granddaughters, Magnolia May Kreiser and Violet Ann Kreiser; and sister, Helen Fetzer, of Annville.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Charlie, Clyde, and Herb Umberger; and sisters, Jean Piper, Ruth Tobias, and Kathryn Adams.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A funeral procession will form at 8:15 a.m. on Monday at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 5 Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown, PA 17038
