Robert E. Wentzel Sr., 85, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia A. Wentzel.
Born in Lebanon, PA, on Dec. 27, 1939, he was the son of the late John and Esther M. (James) Wentzel.
Surviving are two children, Robert E. “Bobby” Wentzel Jr., husband of Kimberly, of Elizabethtown, and Michelle A. Schweiger, wife of Bruce G. Schweiger Jr., of Harrisburg; sister, Elizabeth “Betsy” Jonovich, wife of Bruce “Buck” Jonovich, of Cleona; grandchildren, Slade Rank, husband of Kari, Zachary Wentzel, and Logan Wentzel; and great-grandson, Sennen Rank.
In addition to his wife, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Wentzel; and his sister, Jean Centini.
A public visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 5 Campmeeting Road, Jonestown, PA 17038. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Covenant Greenwood Ebenezer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association, 168 Station Road, Grantville, PA 17028, in his memory.
