Robert F. “Hip” Lerch passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024, at Spang Crest in Lebanon, at the age of 80. He was born to the late Floyd Lerch and Violet Lerch (Sattesahn) in Perry County, PA, on March 13, 1944. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and an unyielding love for his family.

Robert was a proud member of the Teamsters Union and dedicated his life to a successful career as a truck driver. In his free time, Robert enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and restoring old tractors. These activities allowed him to be at peace with nature and provided him with moments of tranquility.

Robert will be dearly missed by his surviving relatives, including his sons, Fred Tomco (Nadine), Mark Lerch (Mim), and Chris Tomco (Rene); his daughter, Kristy Gibble; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and his siblings, Russell Lerch, Larry Lerch, and Gladys Kelly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lerch.

Robert’s departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his spirit will live on through all those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the things he loved most.
