Robert L. Hartz, 88, of Cornwall, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the loving husband of Mildred A. “Millie” (Trautman) Hartz, to whom he was married for 66 years.

Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Lloyd and S. Vergie (Snyder) Hartz.

Bob graduated from Lebanon High School as a member of the class of 1952 and graduated from Shippensburg University with a master’s degree in education and was a social studies teacher with the Shippensburg School District until his retirement. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Shippensburg, PSEA, and enjoyed golfing, reading, and barbershop chorus.

In addition to his wife Millie, he is survived by two sisters, Sandra, wife of Joe Prentice, and Eileen Sherk, both of Lebanon.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 1:30 pm from the Levi Zerr Memorial Chapel at Cornwall Manor, 1 Boyd St. Cornwall. Inurnment will be held privately. A visitation will be held following the service.
