Robert Lee “Bob” Engle, 88, passed away on Aug. 30, 2024, at Broad Acres Health and Rehab in Wellsboro.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1936, to the late John Engle and Stella Engle (Spang) in Lebanon.
He was an esteemed mechanic in the auto industry and thoroughly enjoyed his time in Tioga County, where he found peace in hiking, observing wildlife, and hunting. His love for the outdoors led him to become a member of the Arnot Sportsman Club and the Little Kutztown Fire Company, where he dedicated his time and efforts to serving the community.
Surviving are his children, Rose M. Kover, Glenn R. Engle (Alma), and David A. Engle; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta M. Engle (Bishop); son, Michael L. Engle; and siblings, John Engle, Lloyd Engle, and Stella Miller.
A graveside service to commemorate Mr. Engle’s life will take place at Ebenezer Cemetery on Sept. 28, 2024, at 1 p.m.
