Robert Lee Taylor Jr., 71, of Palmyra, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Oak Hill Village in Middletown, PA.

Born on Oct. 16, 1954, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Taylor Sr. and Margaret Ann (Garrison) Taylor. Robert spent 31 years in the lumber industry working for Weaber Inc. and 10 years as an equipment operator for the PA Turnpike at New Cumberland.

Throughout his life, Robert was an avid archer and outdoorsman. He spent a lot of his free time hunting or fishing in the mountains of Tioga County with friends and family at the family hunting cabin. Many times, if you ran into him, he was on his way to go either hunting or fishing with his sons or out in the driveway cleaning off his Harley for a long ride on a beautiful day.

Robert was an incredible father, brother, husband, and mentor. He had a golden heart for all to see; if you found yourself around him, it wouldn’t be long before he made a friend out of you. You never saw Rob without a smile on his face, and that was what he shared with everyone he met, no matter the circumstances.

Robert is survived by his sons, Robert L. Taylor III, of Boise, ID, and Ryan R. Taylor, of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Tom Taylor, husband of Jeanne, of Annville, PA; and sisters, Donna, Wanda, and Sandy Taylor.

A public viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorproject.org, in his memory. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville, is handling arrangements.
