Robert Lewis Blatt, 86, of Schuylkill Haven, PA, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his residence.
He was the husband of Dorothy J. (Wolfe) Blatt, to whom he would have been married for 67 years on Dec. 25, 2026.
Born in Bernville, PA, on July 15, 1939, he was a son of the late Lewis D. and Florence M. (Miller) Blatt.
Robert was a 1957 graduate of Lebanon High School. He was a member of Myerstown Christian Fellowship. Robert was employed as a steelworker at Bethlehem Steel for 30 years, from which he retired. He was a NASCAR fan, was a car enthusiast, enjoyed playing card and board games, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Most people called him Bob, some close friends and family called him Bobby, to his boys, he was just Dad, and to his grandkids and great-grandkids, he was Pop.
Bob loved his family, his German shepherds, and, most importantly, Jesus.
He earned a living working at and then retiring from Bethlehem Steel.
While raising their young family, Bob and Dorothy prioritized taking their boys to Sunday school at West Wyomissing Chapel. It was during those years that Bob heard the gospel and believed in Jesus for the forgiveness of his sins. Bob prioritized going to church regularly from then on.
During his retirement years, Bob would start off his day with a strong cup of Maxwell House coffee, work on the crossword puzzle in the newspaper, and turn on a country music radio station. When the weather was nice, he was mowing. When the weather was hot, he was swimming. He loved having friends and family over and cooking for them. He will be remembered for his chili and spaghetti.
He was a Blatt — a name he was always proud of, and he made sure that stories about his heritage were passed on to his kids and grandkids. He was a great storyteller and loved to make people laugh with his stories.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his sons, Brian, husband of Lynn Blatt, and Randall Blatt, husband of Gwen Kieffer-Blatt; grandchildren, Daniel Blatt, Kristen Manbeck, Janelle Holubec, Dawson Blatt, and Diana Blatt; and great-grandchildren, Nolan Manbeck, Alyssa Manbeck, Elliott Manbeck, and Jana Manbeck.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Host Church, 80 Host Church Road, Bernville, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the adjoining church cemetery.
