Robert Scott Fernsler, 67, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Born in Pottsville on Aug. 1, 1957, he was the son of the late Kenneth E. Fernsler Sr. and Mary K. (Spiess) Fernsler.
He lived most of his childhood in Williamsport and moved to Lebanon during his senior year of high school. He was a graduate of Cedar Crest High School. He recently retired from Mack Truck Inc. as a machinist. Robert was an outdoorsman in his spare time, loved to garden, and was an excellent cook. He always shared his garden with everyone and was able to can all his produce. He also loved to fish, hunt, hike in the woods, and spend time with family friends. He was a member of the Old Forge Fishing Club in Suedburg and the Outwood Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Erin Ann, wife of Dieter Kedrowitsch, of Boyertown; brother, Jeffrey Fernsler, of Annville; sisters, Donna J. Kimble, of Williamsport, and Linda L. (William) Warfel, of Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth E. Fernsler Jr.; and brother-in-law, Craig P. Kimble Sr.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at the Outwood Lutheran Church, 934 Oak Grove Road, Pine Grove. There will be a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
