Robert W. “Bob” Blauch, 79, of Annville, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, at MS Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Mary A. (Sweinhart) Blauch, with whom he celebrated nearly 27 years of marriage. They were married on Oct. 19, 1996.
Bob was born in Lebanon County on Jan. 22, 1944, to the late Warren and Miriam (Snoke) Blauch.
He served in the Army PA National Guard and was a graduate of Annville-Cleona High School Class of 1961. Bob worked in the payroll department for The Hershey Company for 40 years. He was a member of St. John’s EC Church, where he was a church historian, sang in the church choir, and was a Sunday School teacher. He was a lifetime member of Steelstown Gunning Club. He was treasurer of the 2nd Mountain Hawk Watch. He enjoyed bird watching, photographing birds and flowers, traveling with his wife, Mary, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is his stepsons, William MacLean, Steven MacLean, Brian MacLean, and Jeffrey MacLean; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Samuel Blauch.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Bentzel; half-sister, Crystal George; stepbrothers; a stepsister; and his stepfather, Melvin George.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Johns EC Church, 683 Steelstown Road, Annville, PA 17003. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church, and again on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
