Robert William “Bob” Ruggles, 75, of Myerstown, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth Naomi (Long) Ruggles, with whom he celebrated 46 years in marriage.

Bob was born in Harrisburg on June 8, 1946, to the late William and Grace (Albright) Ruggles. He was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School. He was a supervisor in the mail department of M&T Bank in Harrisburg. Bob was a member of the PA National Guard and of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church. He was a mason at the Womelsdorf Masonic Lodge #307. Bob loved telling stories, jokes, watching TV shows and was an avid reader, especially mystery novels. He had a cabin in Centre County where he enjoyed visiting to go deer hunting and traveling to his favorite fishing location, Boiling Springs.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Christina Bechtel and her husband Daryl of Shippensburg, grandchildren, Joseph B. Doster of Myerstown, Kimberly K. May and her husband Nicholas of Rixford, Sonia M. May of Mechanicsburg, Telitha V. Parsons and her husband Darren of Duncannon, great-grandchildren, Riley, Catherine, Ava, Olivia, Aniah, Zya, Lilly, Damion, Locklan, Linley, and Laurali. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Ruggles and John Ruggles.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. from Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be in South Annville Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
