Roger Dale Yordy, 63, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at his residence. He was the husband of Theresa (Labe) Yordy. They have been together for around 35 years and would have celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on December 13, 2022.

Born in Lebanon on June 1, 1959, he was the son of the late John Yordy and Evelyn (Batz) Yordy.

Roger was a self-employed contractor for many years, as well as a lifetime farm hand on the family farm. He loved working with his hands. He was always up for a challenge of his skills, whether that involved tearing a vehicle down to fix it or building/remodeling something for friends/family or himself. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Steven Yordy, of Lebanon, Dustin Yordy and Andrew Yordy, both of Harrisonburg, VA, and Tara Yordy, of Greenpoint; grandchildren, Lilith, Raziel, and Lucifer Shreeves, and Denver, Elijah, Elizabeth, Annabelle, and Isaac Yordy; brother, Randy Yordy, of Pine Grove; and sisters, Nancy Ritchie, of Greenpoint, Brenda Good, of Grantville, Doris Solmiren, of Lakewood, WA, and Peggy (Paul) Bowman, of Newport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Yordy.

Out of respect for Roger’s final wishes, there are no plans for a funeral service. He was cremated, and his ashes will be spread on the family farm, where he absolutely loved and cherished!
