Ronald E. Haag, 71, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, at the VA Medical Center-Lebanon. He was the husband of Janet L. (Hardy) Haag with whom he shared 27 years of marriage.

Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Harold Jake Strunk and Margaret Ann (Kramer) Bean. Ronald was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was passionate about his volunteer duties at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery serving as an honor guard, as they provided military honors for deceased Veterans. He was also involved with the Wounded Warrior Project. Ronald was employed with Blatt and Myers-Myerstown as an electrician for many years until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by three daughters, Teresa J., wife of Jeff R. Shank, of Richland; Melissa S., wife of Steven L. Boyer, of Myerstown and Rebecca D., wife of David S. Yoon, of Lebanon; two sons Chris L., husband of Amy L. Beiler, of Lebanon and Chad R., husband of Ashley L. Beiler, of Lebanon. There are also 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry “Butch” Haag.

A graveside service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Washington Avenue, Myerstown, PA 17067 no later than 10:30 a.m. that morning to cortege along to the cemetery. Everyone is welcome to then join the family in continuing to celebrate Ronald’s life at Kochenderfer United Methodist Church, 1105 Kochenderfer Road, Lebanon, PA 17046 at 12:30 p.m.
