Ronald E. McGreevy, 78, of Lebanon, PA, formerly of Butler, NJ, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at his home with his family at his side. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Stungis) McGreevy, to whom he was married for 49 years.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Robert G. and Iris (Corry) McGreevy.

Ron was a member of the Pequannock Engine Co. 2 and then the Butler Volunteer Fire Department Engine 344 for 37 years of service. He had a passion and love for trains and was an avid collector. Ron enjoyed traveling cross country with Kathy, going to the beach, gemstone hunting, and visiting railroad museums. He attended the NJ Firemen’s Convention for many years in Wildwood, NJ, and nourished his faith at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Butler, NJ.

In addition to his wife Kathy, he is survived by his daughter Wendy, wife of Adam Albert of Lebanon, PA; two grandchildren, Matthew and Elise Albert; two brothers Robert McGreevy and his wife Caryl of Pequannock, NJ and Richard McGreevy of Florida; many cherished nieces and nephews; and very dear friend Dave Sadler of TN. He was a friend of Bill W. for 42 years, which resulted in many loving, forever friends.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date in Butler, NJ.
