Ronald E. Peiffer, 83, of Jonestown, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Providence Place, Pine Grove. He was the husband of Nancy C. (Confair) Peiffer. In July, they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Born in Lebanon on Sept. 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Ethel Peiffer. He retired from IBEW Local Union 143.
He enjoyed camping, skiing, cruising, taking care of his feral cat (Kitty Kitty), and spending time at their timeshare in Cocoa Beach, FL. He was very active as the coordinator for the retired union member events, planning their luncheons and bus trips.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Deborah L. Trout, and her husband, Jeffrey Pavone, of Cape Coral, FL, and Renee L., wife of Kenneth Choyce, of Palmyra; half-brothers, Russell Schneck, of Fredericksburg, and James Schneck, of Jonestown; younger sister, Carol (Susie) Schneck; grandchildren, Amanda, Forrest, Michael, Emalee, Sage, Danny, and Chase; and great-grandchildren: Olivia, Mason, and Archer.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Sharon L. Magruder and Christy L. Smith; and granddaughter, Autumn.
Memorial services will be held at the Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church, 600 Shepherd St., Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. (Service day, time, and information will follow soon.)
