Ronald M. “Mike” Speece, 53, of Hershey, passed away at home on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of Ralph Speece and Barbara (Herr). He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Heidi S. (Reinhart) Speece.

Mike worked as a check out clerk at Walmart for 14 years. He was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan, and enjoyed fishing and playing chess. He had a kind-natured personality, which made him a great people-person. Above all, he adored his grandkids, who fondly called him Papa.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Justin Speece, and wife, Necher, of GA, David Speece, of Pine Grove, and Heather Bates, and husband, Ryan, of Palmyra; seven grandchildren: Karleigh, Jaedyn, Karyssa, Cadence, Jaylee, Angela, and Noah; a brother, Steve Speece, of Hershey, a nephew, Corrin Speece, of Hershey, Aunt Sissy, Uncle Sam, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his uncle, Ronald Speece, and great-uncle, Doc.
