Ronald Matthew “Doc” Watson, 75, of Palmyra, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Gladys M. (Shifflett) Watson, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Ronald was born in Hershey on June 20, 1948, to the late Elmont and Jennie (DiStefano) Watson.
He played trombone at Lebanon Catholic High School and graduated in 1967. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the 101st Airborne. He reached the rank of E5. Ronald worked for Bethlehem Steel for 23 years. He was a lifetime member of Shellsville VFW. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Lee Watson.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A procession will form at Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville, at 9:45 a.m.
