Roy D. Moyer, 76, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Born in McGillstown on Sept. 20, 1947, he was the son of the late John H. and Luella Bates Moyer.

Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. For many years, he was a dairy farmer in North Annville Township. He was also the owner and operator of R. D. Moyer Excavating. Roy was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church, Lebanon. He enjoyed woodworking. He especially loved his children and his grandchildren and spending time with them.

He is survived by his children, Tricia A. Blackman, of Harrisburg, Tracy L. Moyer-Swinko, wife of Paul G. Swinko Jr., of Harrisburg, and Roy D. Moyer Jr., and his wife, Stacey Lockhart, of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Tyler Williams, and his wife, Brittany Stephens, Alexis Williams, and Jasmyne Lockhart-Moyer; his great-granddaughter, Luella Williams; his brother, John Moyer, of North Annville Township; and his sister, Loretta Smith, of York.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Moyer; and his sisters, Betty Price and Joan Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
