Roy M. Long, 79, of Lebanon died Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Kathryn L. Bradley Long with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage this past June.

Born in Manheim on December 6, 1941, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Sarah E. Miley Long. He was retired from the shipping department for Hershey Foods Corp.
Roy served in the US Navy, was a 1960 graduate of Lebanon High School, and enjoyed playing miniature golf and pitch and putt. He loved his cars, taking vacations, and working in the yard.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Dr. Roy Michael husband of Kathleen Long, of Wisconsin, daughter, Valerie Jo Costik and partner Tom Lutz, of Hershey, two grandchildren, Dr. Rachael Long and Fiance’ Sam Goreon, and Lauryn Costik, nephew, Dustin and Sherri Deimler and children, a sister, Susan Grimes, of Baltimore, MD, and his furry Bichon companion, Snuggles.

Roy was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Leon Long.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, 4th and Walnut Streets, Lebanon, PA 17042 in his memory.
