Russel L. Wagner Jr., 83, of Jonestown, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Joan M. Wagner.

Born in Lebanon on Feb. 28, 1943, he was the son of the late Russel L. and Blanche (Watson) Wagner. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Russel retired from HERCO, where he was a painter. He was a member of the Trinity Church in Lickdale and also attended the Moonshine United Zion Church. He was a member of the Indiantown Gap Conservation Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flower gardening, and especially spending time with his family and grandsons.

He is survived by his son, Ryan L., husband of Shanna Wagner, of Jonestown; daughter, Laura L. Wagner-Miller, wife of Alan Miller, of Annville; and grandsons, Mason and Cooper. He was preceded in death by his brother, Barry.

Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
