Ruth Anna Pierce, 89, passed away at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 8, 1934, to the late Oscar Conrad and Anna Katherine Ryland Conrad in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Ruth graduated from Lebanon High School in 1952 and shortly after married the love of her life, Frederick S. Pierce, in 1958. She was known for her radiant smile, her infinite kindness, her bright colors, her homemade cherry pies, and her love for Jesus.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frederick S. Pierce; son, Fred S. Pierce II, and his wife, Judy Pierce; daughter, Suzanne M. Lynn, and her husband, Peter R. Lynn; grandchildren, Meghan Bachmann, and her husband, William Bachmann, Jordan Lynn, and Erin Lynn; great-grandchild, Charlotte Bachmann; and sister, Elizabeth M. Weisman.
Ruth was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Conrad.
A public gathering will be held at Christman’s Funeral Home, on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Schaefferstown Cemetery at 3 p.m.
