Ruth E. Knepp, 86, of Myerstown, PA, died on April 18, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of Donald R. Knepp. They celebrated 33 years of marriage on Feb. 14, 2025.

Born in Myerstown, PA, on Nov. 1, 1938, she was a daughter of the late James and Mae (Stamm) Wartluft.

Ruth was a 1956 graduate of Myerstown High School. She retired after 31 years from Cedar Haven as Assistant Director for Therapeutic Recreation, having previously served as a Nurse’s Aide, Ward Clerk, and Pharmacy Tech.

Ruth was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and enjoyed gospel music and hymns with a natural gift for singing and harmony. She enjoyed serving her family, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, and gardening.

In addition to her husband, Don, Ruth is survived by her daughter, Melody, wife of Dick Stambaugh; sons, Michael, husband of Cathy Bowers, Bryan, husband of Dalene Bowers, and Barry, husband of Susan Bowers; stepdaughter, Lorena, wife of Jeff Bickel; stepson, Michael, husband of Shay Knepp; brother, Mark, husband of Jean Wartluft; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lilian Wartluft; brothers, Robert Wartluft, Guy Wartluft, and David Wartluft; and grandson, Brandon Bowers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
