SallyAnn Arndt, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 14, 2025, with her family by her side.
She was born in Rutherford Heights, Pennsylvania, on June 14, 1943, and grew up in Palmyra, Pennsylvania.
At 16 years old, she started waitressing at Arndt’s Sub Base in Hershey and met her future husband, Lester. SallyAnn was an active member of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey and over the years served as a deaconess and Sunday school teacher and coordinated monthly senior luncheons at the church. She was a gifted artist and teacher, teaching classes to children and adults throughout her life. She was a servant of God and helped her friends and family whenever and wherever she was needed – she was a shining example to those around her.
SallyAnn is survived by her daughters, Roxanne Kuivinen (Paul), of Mahtomedi, MN, Alisa Arndt, of Conshohocken, PA, Christina Arndt (Joe Schreiber), of Rohnert Park, CA, Jaimee Arndt (Dave Hindley), of North Wales, PA, and Kaitlin Jansen, of Sidney, NE; son, Aaron, of Alexandria, VA; granddaughters, Hannah (Wyatt), Veda, Lillian, Evadeen, Eleanor, and Adaline; and grandsons, Daniel (Andrea), Timothy (Makala), and Jack, whom she loved and adored. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Pletz (Kenneth), of Mount Joy, PA, Tammy Swanger, of Elizabethtown, PA, and Tracy Port, of Elizabethtown, PA; brothers, Pete Swanger, of Lawn, PA, and Mike Swanger, of Elizabethville, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; and son, Jordan.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2 p.m., from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will follow at Campbelltown United Christian Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of her service at the funeral home.
