Samuel E. Webb, 69, of Jonestown, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at his home.

Born in Charles Town, WV on December 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Samuel B. and Ernestina (DeLa Torre) Gutterez Webb. Samuel E. was a farmer and horse trainer in Middleway, Jefferson Co., West Virginia. He handled horses throughout the East, in Cuba and in Canada. He was a fixture at the Charles Town Races where he had stabled horses. He was also active as a trainer/owner at Penn National Race Course in Grantville. He enjoyed working in his garage and he especially enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his son and cooking with his children.

He is survived by his children, Samuel B. Webb and Ivy M. Webb both of Palmyra and Clifton D. Webb of Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by his sister Lucy Webb.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at the Masonic Cemetery in Middleway, WV.

Since Sam was a die-hard Republican, memorial contributions may be made to the PA GOP, 112 State St., Harrisburg, PA 17101.
