Samuel Henry Groh, 83, of Cornwall, passed away on Friday, May 27th, 2023, in Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Joyce E. (Kovac) Groh.
Born on May 28th, 1939, he was the son of the late John D. and Ruth K. (Kehrli) Groh.
Upon graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science, he joined the U.S. Army Intelligence at Fort Meade, Maryland. Following his military service, he worked as an industrial engineer for AMP Inc., Warner Lambert, and PA Blue Shield. After retiring, he joined Lehman Motors, where his love of cars led to his joining the Antique Automobile Club of America and Vintage Chevrolet Club of America.
He was an accomplished pianist and organist. As past president of the Susquehanna Valley Theatre Organ Society, he helped refurbish the Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ in the Capitol Theatre in York, PA.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is his half-brother, David Shafer, husband of Margaret, of Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.
Samuel was preceded in death by his sister, Suzann Webster.
A public visitation will be held from 10 AM – 11 AM on Monday, June 5th, 2023, at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. Funeral Services will begin at 11 AM on Monday at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
