Samuel L. Shank, 78, of Annville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2020. He was born on Tuesday, April 28, 1942 to the late Lester and Thelma Shank. He was predeceased by his loving wife Janet M. Shank since December 15, 2004.
Samuel sang gospel and spread kindness to local nursing homes, he was a member of the band Sunny and the Country Kings which he wrote songs for. He was also a Nascar and racing fan and well as a Dallas Cowboy fan. Most importantly, he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.
He is survived by his children: Tammy Hollis, Lori Smith, Samuel Shank, Jr., Jody Shank, Jeffrey Shank, and Pat Lambert; grandchildren; Alyssa Smith, Amanda Duvall, Nicole Caudill, and Lance Garrison; great-grandchildren, Anthony, McKenzie, Caprice, Brock Briel, and Ziara, and Javon Garrison; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jim and Tim Shank. He is predeceased by a daughter, Vicky Alsedek and siblings Herb Shank, Christine, and Pete.
