Sandra A. “Sandy” Hoffa, 67, of Lebanon, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She was a loving daughter, a devoted wife, and the world’s best mom.

Sandy was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on May 12, 1956, to Esther (Snyder) Hill.

She grew up in Exeter Township, graduating from Exeter High School on June 7, 1974. After graduation, Sandy spent her professional career working as a secretary—retiring in 2021 as a legal secretary from Reilly Wolfson Law Offices after more than 40 years of service working with Frederick S. Wolfson.

She married her high school sweetheart, Robert H. “Bob” Hoffa, on May 22, 1976, at Friedens’ United Church of Christ in Oley—the same church where Sandy was confirmed in March 1971. Bob and Sandy had one daughter, Megan L. (Hoffa) Howell, who married to Eric, of Mount Joy.

Sandy loved spending time with her family. She will be forever remembered as a great listener with an inquisitive nature. She was thoughtful and kind and always made you feel at home. She enjoyed going for walks with her dog, Minnie, playing cards, shopping, and traveling—especially to Walt Disney World, a favorite family vacation destination.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, mother, daughter, and son-in-law, is her cousins, Sharon Armstrong, of Manheim (fiancée, Stephen Engle), and Greg Gruber, of Greensboro, Maryland; and first cousin once removed, Jessica Hesse (husband, Will), of Lemoyne.

She was predeceased by her uncle and aunt, Leon and Ethel (Snyder) Gruber.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. There will be a visitation starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Brain Tumor Society (braintumor.org) in memory of Sandy.
