Sandra F. “Sandy” Wert, born on July 18, 1939, in Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully on Feb. 20, 2026, at the age of 86.

A dedicated sewing machine operator for Orwego, Sandra spent her career contributing to the garment industry. Her remarkable skills in sewing were matched by her love for baking, a passion she shared with family and friends. Sandra found joy in simple pleasures, including participating in bingo games and tackling intricate puzzles with her husband. She also liked painting ceramics and coloring.

Surviving are her son, Richard (Lori) Wert; cherished granddaughter, Heather (Juan) Maldonado; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Madison, and Freddy; and several nieces and nephews. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, George Davis and Viola Barrett (Earp); brothers, Jeremiah Davis and William Reinhart; and sisters, Gladys Sutch and Mary Rhoades.

She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her laughter, and the love she gave to those around her.

A public viewing will take place at Christman’s Funeral Home Inc. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, starting at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Grand View Memorial Park at 12 p.m. the same day, where Sandra will be laid to rest.
