Savuth You, 71, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at MS Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Moni (Kang) You, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Savuth was born in Cambodia on Jan. 5, 1953.

In 1978, he was forced to leave Cambodia and immigrated to the U.S. with his wife and eldest son. Upon arriving, he became the catalyst for other refugees to migrate to Lebanon, Pennsylvania. His selfless dedication helped establish the basis for hundreds of Cambodian Americans now living in central Pennsylvania.

His unwavering desire to support and guide led him to spend countless hours working on businesses that would help or employ other Cambodians, setting the foundation for several successful establishments across Lebanon County.

Never one to rest, he spent his spare time as the family handyman, working on their buildings and homes, ensuring things were in top shape for his loved ones. We will miss Savuth’s generosity, work ethic, and kind spirit.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, Savi (47), Vu (45), and Sharly (44); daughters-in-law, Thulyna, Betsy, and Casey; and grandchildren, Kitana, Alyssa, Kylie, Darin, Darius, Nalani, Ambrose, Arun, Adelina, Avelyn, and Dior.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at 2PMat St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. There will be a viewing from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church.
