Secundino Viana-Aponte, 70, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Maria T. Saez. Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on June 17, 1949, he was the son of the late Secundino Viana and Consuelo Aponte.

Secundino was a member of New Birth United Methodist Church. He spent his life ministering to people by working as a pastor and spreading the word of God – even traveling as far as Peru, South America, and the Caribbean to do so. Missionary work was his passion and family was his number one priority. Secundino was well loved by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children – Alexis Viana-Saez and his wife Maria L. Viana, Geannette Viana-Saez and her husband Juan C. Cotto, Wilmer Viana-Saez, and Alexis Daniel Viana-Gonzalez; two great grandchildren – Ethan D. Viana and Josuel A. Skinner; and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 13th from 9am to 1:30pm at New Birth United Methodist Church, 1205 Old East Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will follow at Kimmerling’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Secundino’s name may be made to the church at the address listed above.
