Selma May (Bucher) Meyer died at the age of 92 on Friday, June 16, 2023.

She was born on May 3, 1931, in Reistville, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Mabel Jane (Reist) Bucher and Alvin Bucher. She was preceded in death by her brother, Warren Bucher, her brother, Mark J. Bucher, and her infant sister, Naomi Bucher. She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Eri L. Meyer. They married on April 9, 1950, and were married until Eri passed on Jan. 25, 2017. She was a graduate of Heidelburg High School in Shaefferstown, Pennsylvania.

She was employed by the Spring Glen Company for 43 years and was the manager of its stall in the Lebanon Market for the last 25 years until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church of Cleona, Pennsylvania. She was a strong supporter of her church and sang in the choir for many years. In addition, she volunteered for many years at the fall Bazaar. Selma was also an avid Phillies fan!

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey C. Meyer, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, and her daughter, Jane L. Meyer, of Falls Church, Virginia. She is also survived by her grandson, Michael Eri Saccucci Meyer, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, and her great-granddaughter, Elaine Carol Meyer, also of Tiverton, Rhode Island.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 29 E. Maple St., Cleona. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at the church.
