Sharon A. Hanley, 76, of Annville died Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Brian L. Hanley.
Born in Lebanon on March 28, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John E. Bender, Sr., and the late Pauline M. (Spitler) Bender.
Sharon was a graduate of Cornwall High School, and a server at Schwalm’s Restaurant in Cleona. She was a member of Hill Lutheran Church, Cleona. Sharon enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was an excellent baker and cook.
Surviving is two children, Amy H. Cathell, wife of Scott of York, Aaron M. Hanley, husband of Stacey of Annville, four siblings, Joanne Schriver of Palmyra, Shirley Greathouse of Ohio, John E. Bender, Jr., husband of Vanessa of Annville, Wendy Showers, wife of Dennis of Fredericksburg, four grandchildren, Brian Cathell, Ann Cathell, Jackson Hanley, Emily Hanley, and a brother-in-law, Charles Filingeri of Palmyra.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Filingeri.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St. Annville, PA 17003. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 9, at Hill Lutheran Church, Cleona, 998 N. Mill St. Lebanon, PA 17046. There will be an additional public visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 am-11:00 am at the Church. Interment will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hill Lutheran Church, Cleona. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is handling arrangements.
