Shirley Ann (Warner) Sherman passed away on Dec. 2, 2023, at the age of 87.

She filled her life with many wonderful moments with her friends, family, and loving husband. She enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, deacon of her church, singing in the choir, altar guild, participating in the YMCA Kids Campaign, and being a scorekeeper for various swim meets.

Shirley and her husband attended every event that their children participated in and made sure to be a loving presence in the stands. As the family grew they continued to cheer on all sporting and academic achievements.

Shirley was a 1st grade teacher for 35 years in the Lebanon School District at Harrison and Northwest Elementary schools where she instilled a love of learning along with a fondness for each of her students.

Once she retired she enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

She also followed any and all sporting events, particularly men’s and women’s college basketball and the Phillies baseball team.

She is survived by her husband, Lowell John Sherman, her daughters Elizabeth Yocum (Dr. Jeffrey Yocum) and Mary Witalec (Robert Witalec), grandchildren, Alyson DiLena (Josh DiLena),  Zachary Yocum, Austin Yocum and Sarah Witalec, and great-grandchildren Jocelyn and Redmond DiLena.

Shirley, known as Ma-Ma, was a strong and caring member of the family and she will be remembered for all the guiding lessons she taught us.
