Sochivy Tes Dy, 63, of Lebanon, passed away on June 2, 2023, at Lancaster General Hospital, following a brief illness.

Sochivy was born in Siem Reap, Cambodia, on April 29, 1960.

She immigrated to the United States in 1984, eventually settling in Lebanon, PA, where she met her husband, Thouk Dy. They were blessed with two children, Kuchanda Dy (Laura Whitman Dy) and Leakana Dy. Sochivy worked at DHL as a packer for approximately 23 years, where she was loved by many of her co-workers, who called her Mama. Throughout her lifetime, Sochivy enjoyed making Cambodian food, especially her famous lort dessert, for her family and the local Cambodian community, of which she was an active member. She also enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her family, friends, her cat, Bud, and her granddogs, Dutch, Wendell, and Woody. 

Sochivy is survived by her husband, Thouk Dy, of Lebanon, PA; and children, Kuchanda Dy, and daughter-in-law, Laura Whitman Dy, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Leakana Dy, of Lebanon, PA. She is also survived by her siblings, Sarith Tes (Pisey Tes), of Lebanon, PA, Sisovuth Tes, of Lancaster, CA, Virakdeth Tes, of Los Angeles, CA, Ponnathirak Tes, of Los Angeles, CA, and Sothysak Cuellar (Richard Cuellar), of Lancaster, CA; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ith Tes; her mother, Soeurn Tan; her sister, Sopheakny Tes; her brother, Rathikun Tes; and her mother-in-law, Thouy Lay. 

Viewing will be on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. A cremation procession will follow the service.
