Stanley C. Yancey, 89, of Jonestown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Masonic Village, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Betty J. (Dove) Yancey. On June 2, they celebrated their 70th anniversary.
Born in Grantville on Sept. 12, 1936, he was the son of the late George Yancey and Arbutus (Gibson) Elliot. Stanley retired from the former Raybestos in Manheim, where he was an industrial mechanic and supervisor of maintenance. Following his retirement, he worked for Yancey Auto Body for 20 years. He was a member of Calvary Chapel in Lebanon. He enjoyed fishing, building wooden cars, and custom kitchens. He also enjoyed going out into the city and street-witnessing. He will be remembered for his love for his wife, his family, and their family gatherings.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Rodney T., and his wife, Carmelina Yancey, of Lebanon; daughters, Robin L., wife of Scott Brandt, of Lebanon, Kelly L., wife of Michael Bartlebaugh, of Hershey, and Dawn M., wife of Andrew Fogelsanger, of Lebanon; brother, Robert Yancey, of Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his half-sister, Betty.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at Calvary Chapel, 740 Willow St., Lebanon. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
