Stanley M. Sicinski, 84, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, at the Arbor Gate Retirement Community in Myerstown, where he had been a long-time resident.
A native New Yorker, Stanley was a 1954 graduate of St. Augustine Diocesan High School in Brooklyn, NY. Stanley worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Manhattan, NY, and later relocated to eastern Pennsylvania in the early 70s. After early retirement from Met Life, he purchased a Carvel ice cream store in Bethlehem, PA, and went into business for himself.
Stanley was involved in the Jackson Township Board of Supervisors and an active volunteer in the Elco School District, often working the clock for athletic games. He was an avid New York Rangers hockey fan.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, Christel, Stanley is survived by his sons, Michael (Carrin) Sicinski, Paul (Karen) Sicinski, and Robert Sicinski, and his daughter Jean (Stephen) Pickford. He was Grandpa to thirteen grandchildren, and Great Grandpa to twelve great-grandchildren.
Stanley was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Myerstown, PA. Services are private at the convenience of the family.
