Stella J. Fies passed away at the Lebanon Valley Home in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She was surrounded by her caring family and dedicated medical professionals.

Stella was born on May 24, 1930, in Lawn, PA, to William and Susan Bricker nee Jacobs.

Stella led a fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many. She dedicated her career to serving the students of her local high school as a cafeteria worker. Stella’s warm smile and kind-hearted nature made lunchtime a joy for countless students over the years.

Outside of work, Stella had a variety of interests and hobbies that brought her immense joy. She had a passion for traveling and exploring new places, always eager to experience different cultures and landscapes. Stella found solace in the soothing melodies of bluegrass music, which resonated deeply with her soul. She also savored moments spent playing bingo with friends and family.

Speaking of family, Stella was deeply cherished by her loved ones and will be profoundly missed. She shared many beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Harry C. Fies, who preceded her in death. Together, they raised their children with love and affection.

Stella leaves behind a legacy carried on by her surviving family members: her son, Harry Fies, and his loving spouse, Darlene; her daughter, Donna Lasher, and her devoted spouse, Thomas; her daughter, Sandra Smith, and her beloved spouse, Eugene; her daughter, Sharon Morris, and her devoted spouse, Allen; her daughter, Mable Sue Gerner, and her caring spouse, Dale; and her son, Ronald Fies. She was preceded in death by her son, William Fies.

In addition to her immediate family, Stella was adored by 13 grandchildren, as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life.

The memory of Stella J. Fies will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her commitment to her work, her love for her family, and her zest for life will serve as an inspiration to all who carry her legacy forward.

A viewing for Stella is scheduled for July 26, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., located at 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held at the same location from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Stella will be laid to rest in the Iona Fairview Cemetery, situated at S. 5th Ave. in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. A graveside service will take place on July 26, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Stella’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she brought warmth and love into the lives of others.
