Steven Patrick Seyfert, a resilient soul who faced a long and courageous battle with mental health, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 21, 2023, at the age of 38. He was formerly a resident of Lebanon, PA. 

Born on Oct. 29, 1984, in Sacramento, CA, Steven was the beloved son of Patrick (Rick) and Kim (Houser) Seyfert. He leaves behind a lasting legacy and will be forever remembered by his two cherished children, Brooks and Lucas.

In addition to his parents and children, he is survived and loved by a brother, Brandon Seyfert, his wife, Erin, and niece, Aurora, of Lebanon, PA; a sister, Kayla Hall, her husband, Donald (Logan), and niece, Kinsley, of State College, PA; and an extended, loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Steven will be reunited with his maternal grandparents, Marlin and Jeanette Houser, and paternal grandparents, Charles and Christine Seyfert, who preceded him in death.

After graduating from Cedar Crest High School in 2003, Steven pursued his education at Millersville University. In 2012, he embarked on an entrepreneurial journey and founded his own business, Slate-All Natural Roof Specialist LLC, based in Lebanon. One notable achievement was his successful project of installing a new slate roof on the historic Sattazahn Lutheran Church in Jonestown, showcasing his dedication and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Steven found solace and joy in various outdoor activities. Whether he was playing ice hockey, golfing, or fishing, he thrived in the tranquility of nature. However, his greatest passion was undoubtedly the time spent with his beloved sons. Steven’s magnetic personality and zest for life helped him forge countless friendships wherever he went. He had an innate ability to create memorable moments and spread joy to those around him. Steven’s absence leaves a void that will be felt deeply by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA. Visitation begins at 11 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 12 p.m. Interment will take place at Grand View Memorial Park in Annville following the service.
