Stuart E. Zeigler, 89, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, at his home. He was the husband of Joyce E. Conner Zeigler. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on July 26.

Born in York Haven on May 17, 1935, he was the son of the late Stiles Hoover and Hazel Manning Hull.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He then worked as a truck driver for H. Earl Pitzer in Biglerville. In 1991, he started driving for Bell & Evans and retired in 2018. He loved sharing about his dirt track racing, driving truck, and making many memories traveling and camping with his family. He was a member of the Ono United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donna C., wife of Thomas Barry, of Lebanon, Glenn S., husband of Lisa Zeigler, of Jonestown, Donell L., wife of Michael Rittle, of Jonestown, Thomas M. Zeigler, of Jonestown, and Dianne F. Shepps, and her companion, Daryl Daubert, of Lebanon; sister, Helen L. Myers, of Dillsburg; grandchildren, Taylor (Dustin), Hailee (Kevin), Austin, Samantha, Ashton (Andrew), Holden, and Derik; and great-grandchildren, Wade, Mabel, Rowan, Adam, Andreanna, and Andrew.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Zeigler.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at the Ono United Methodist Church, 9 Main St., Ono. Visitation and luncheon with the family will follow the service.
