Stuart (Stu) Luther Baker, 83, of Cornwall, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Cornwall Manor. He was the husband of Carolyn R. (Reinoehl) Baker, with whom he celebrated 60 years in marriage.

Stuart was born in Sturgis, MI, on April 6, 1939, to the late Luther W. and Emmy Lou (Rider) Baker.

He received a Master’s in Theology from Yale Divinity School. Stuart had served on various committees and boards for the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and served as Pastor at Fair Haven United Methodist Parish in New Haven, CT, South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church, in South Meriden, CT, Lake Ronkonkoma United Methodist Church, on Long Island, NY, and Stratford United Methodist Church in Stratford, CT. He was tour host/director of the travel ministry for Educational Opportunities Tours for 32 years. Stuart had taken many trips to the Holy Land. He was also involved with the prison ministry in the Poconos. He enjoyed traveling, hiking, walking, birdwatching, fishing, and camping.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Cynthia Rothenberger and her husband John of Fleetwood, PA, Deborah Kelly and her husband Joseph of Tully, NY, Stephen Baker and his wife Elena of Winchester, MA, grandchildren, Beth Rothenberger, Sarah Rothenberger, Matthew Kelly, Brian Kelly, Eleanor Kelly, Stella Baker, Summer Baker, and his siblings, Neal Baker of Croatia, and Annette Ingraham of Thibodaux, LA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 11 AM at Zerr Chapel at Cornwall Manor, 1 Boyd Street, Cornwall, PA.
