Susan J. “Susie” Long, 80, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on June 4, 2024, peacefully at home.

Born in Lebanon on Oct. 30, 1943, to the late Howard Stalnecker and Jean Stalnecker (Granger).

Susan was a devoted homemaker and was known by many as “Mom.” Susan enjoyed spending time driving through Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery, looking for deer with her daughter, Marilyn, cooking, watching Little House on the Prairie, and caring for her beloved dogs. Her mornings always began with coffee, and she found joy in chatting on the phone with her family and close friends.

Susan is survived by her three daughters, Heather Gross (Stephen), Marilyn Shindel (late Richard), and Stephanie Sechman (Michael), along with her son, Kenneth Long. She also leaves behind her adored grandsons, Earl Deimler IV, Landen Gross, and Raleigh Gross.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Long; son, David Long; grandson, Richard Shindel; and brother, Howard Stalnecker.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
