Sylvia J. Flinchbaugh, 84, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, at her residence. She was the wife of Paul R. “Sonny” Flinchbaugh Jr., who died on Dec. 2, 2015.
Born in Zion, IL, on July 21, 1941, she was a daughter of the late George and Ruth Canon. Sylvia earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Elizabethtown College. She was employed as the executive secretary for IU13 in Lancaster and Lebanon. Sylvia enjoyed reading and horseback riding.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Sheffield, of Lancaster; sisters, Roberta Wickman and Marian, wife of Harry Lubansky; and brother, Steve Canon, husband of Jeanne.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
