Tamson “Tammy” Sue Ganse, 68, of Manheim, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She faced her battle(s) with cancer with unwavering strength and courage.
Born in Lancaster, PA, on July 17, 1957, Tammy was the daughter of Jane L. (Habecker) Evans and the late Michael Evans. She was the wife of Joseph “Joe” Ganse for 46 years.
Tammy’s smile and spirit lit up every room she entered. She was a kind and caring soul who cherished family time above all else. She loved her black cats, sunny days at the beach or by the pool, fairy gardens, and celebrating the holidays, which she always made special and full of joy.
Tammy’s life was defined by her selflessness. She was always looking out for others, putting their needs before her own, and found joy in caring for those around her. She had a special way of making people feel loved and appreciated, and she was known for giving the most thoughtful gifts—each one chosen with genuine care and attention.
In addition to her husband, Tammy is survived by her children, Bronson (Christine) Ganse and Dane (Tara) Ganse; sister, Jolynn (Sam) Hollister; nephew, Trent (Aprille) Hollister; niece, Taryn (Chris) Wiest; and their combined six children.
Tammy will be remembered for her warmth and generosity and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul Evangelical Church, 200 W. Orange St., Lititz, PA 17543. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Tammy to Humane Pennsylvania in honor of her love for many adopted black cats over the years. Click here to donate.
