Teresa (Terry) Luongo passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Lebanon. Terry was born to the late Mary and Walter Andruchek, Minersville, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Vincent Rolenaitis and Michael Luongo; son, James Rolenaitis; and infant, Mary Beth Rolenaitis.
Terry married Vincent Rolenaitis at age 20, moved to Orange, New Jersey, and spent most of her life there. She was blessed with five beautiful children. She was very active in St. John’s Church, as a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Legion of Mary, and a choir member of St. Venantius Church.
After the death of her husband, Vincent, she was employed by the City of Orange as a switchboard operator and typist and then she moved into different positions and met her husband, Michael. She was very involved with different organizations, Friends of New Jersey State Opera, and was a life member of Soroptimist International.
Terry lived a very full life. She loved people. She entertained frequently and loved to cook and play bridge. She was artistic. She painted, working with charcoals, oils, and watercolors. She wrote poetry and even composed some songs.
She retired from the city of Orange as assistant municipal clerk, moved to a retirement community in Barnegat, NJ, and became active with the Barnegat Library, serving as president. After the death of her husband, Michael, she retired to Port St. Lucie, Florida, for five years and then returned to Pennsylvania to be close to her children.
She loved the retirement community she lived in, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, which she attended and served as a daily communicant, a member of the choir, and a member of the Council of Catholic Women.
She leaves behind her daughter, Carole Hollely Inman, of Cornwall; grandsons, Todd Hollely, of Boulder, CO, and David Hollely, and his wife, Kimberly; sons, Miles Eugene and Emmet, and Brandon Hollely, and his wife, Lesley T. Elliot; sons, Thomas, and his wife, Sandra, and Richard Rolenaitis, and his wife, Joni; daughters, Kendra and Allison; and brother, Lonard Andruczyk.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 23, at Sacred Heart of Jesus, 2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall, PA 17016, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Rodrigo Arrazola at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
