Thomas E. Davis III, USN RET, 84, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of “Sue” Mabel (King) Davis, to whom he was married for 59 years.

Born in Aspinwall, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Jr. and Genevieve (Schmeider) Davis. Tom graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1959 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1960. He served at China Lake, CA, Pearl Harbor, HI, Treasure Island, CA, and San Diego, CA, was a plank owner of the USS Concord (AFS5), transferred to Roosevelt Roads in Puerto Rico, involved with the Navy ADCOP program in Norfolk, VA, before being sent as an military advisor to Saudi Arabia to assist them in establishing their Navy. He became a commissioned officer in 1976 and was assigned to the USS Texas (CGN-39) pre-commissioning crew as a combat systems officer and was also a plank owner of the new ship. In 1979, he was assigned to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, as the electronics officer for the USNA small training fleet. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1982 as a CWO3. During his civilian career, Tom worked in various consulting roles with the FAA and private companies focused on radar systems and logistics.

In addition to his wife, Sue, he is survived by his daughter, Tiffany, wife of Andrew Gibbons.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at 1 p.m., from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Inurnment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation with his family will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of his service at the funeral home.
