Thomas W. Breidegan, 87, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at his residence. He was the husband of Kay R. (Ditzler) Breidegan. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18.
Born in Meckville on Nov. 13, 1936, he was the son of the late John H. Breidegan and Mary (Dove) Seiter.
He worked as a production worker in the Rolo Department for Hershey Foods until he retired. Tom enjoyed woodworking, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, dirt car races, NASCAR, and mowing his yard on his John Deere tractor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Randy T. Breidegan, of Fredericksburg; daughter, Kimberly A., wife of the late Michael K. Olesh, of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Dustin T., husband of Cassandra Breidegan, of Jonestown, Brandon A. Breidegan, Owen L. Breidegan, Logan M. Olesh, and Breanna R. Olesh, all of Fredericksburg; and great-granddaughter, Brynley A. Breidegan, of Jonestown.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry and John; sister, Ruby Hupp; and stepfather, Joseph Seiter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Chapel Cemetery, Jonestown.
