Thouy Lay, 86, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2020 with family by her side in her home.
Thouy was born in Battambang, Cambodia on October 5, 1933. She immigrated to the United States in 1984 with her six children and one granddaughter, eventually settling in Lebanon, PA. In her lifetime, Thouy was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking Cambodian food as well as spending time with her friends and family. She was also a member of the Annville Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by her daughter Him Dy of Lebanon; son Thouk Dy and his wife Sochivy Dy of Lebanon; daughter Thim Aungst and her husband Charles Aungst of Dagsboro, DE; son Monly Dy and his wife Yav Dy of McLeansville, NC; daughter Theap Pho and her husband Sas Pho of Punta Gorda, FL; and daughter Thea Beamesderfer of Shrewsbury, PA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Sinann Dy, Timothy Aungst and his wife Christina Aungst, Kuchanda Dy and his wife Laura Whitman Dy, Salena Walmer and her husband Javan Walmer, Leakana Dy, Nicholas Hong, Monica Dy, Kenneth Dy, Rebekah Pho, Adam Beamesderfer, Andrew Beamesderfer, Kalliyan Pho, and Brielle Pho. She was most recently blessed with two great-grandchildren, Tarik and Lydia Aungst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vandy Oak.
