Timothy J. Zimmerer, 85, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, in Lebanon. He was the husband of Corrine K. (Fisher) Zimmerer and the late Barbara A. (Brandt) Zimmerer, who passed away in 1995.

Born in Harrisburg on Aug. 12, 1939, he was the son of the late Carl G. and Mary T. (Shunk) Zimmerer.

He was a graduate of Lebanon High School Class of 1957, and he attended Penn State and Lebanon Valley College. He served in the U.S. Air Force. For 32 years, he owned and operated Lebanon Beverages. He was an active member of Calvary Church in Lebanon and served in many different roles. For 18 years, he served on the Swatara Township Zoning Hearing Board. He enjoyed flying his own plane for many years. As his children grew, they were involved with skiing and the Soap Box Derby. For several years, Tim was the treasurer of the Lebanon Ski Club while Barb ran the Snowseekers, a kids’ learn-to-ski program.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Heidi, wife of Dan Dalton, Holly Begley, wife of the late Bill Begley, Gretchen, wife of Chris Catron, and Timothy D., husband of Erin Zimmerer; stepdaughters, Effie Ann, wife of Cory Appelt, and Richelle, wife of Michael Blecker; grandchildren, Amanda, Caitlin, Kendrick, Noah, Addison, and Ruby; and brothers, Tom and Michael Zimmerer.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at Calvary Church, 1330 Pennsylvania Ave., Lebanon. Interment will be at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown, at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church.
